Landmarks Society

Endangered Buildings

In keeping with its mission of raising awareness of the area’s historically significant buildings, and promoting their preservation or restoration, the Landmarks Society each year identifies and publishes a list of such buildings most in danger of being lost through deterioration or neglect. That list is published in the Landmarks Preservationist and distributed to area media.

Following are the articles featuring those lists as they have appeared annually in the newsletter. Note that they describe the status of each structure or site as of the issue date – and a building’s status and/or condition can and often does change from year to year.

Significant developments with respect to any of the buildings or sites listed are reported regularly in Landmarks Preservationist.
